Responsible Play
Enter for fun, not for hope
Our competitions are meant to be an enjoyable way to have a shot at something you probably wouldn't otherwise buy. They are not a way to make money, solve a financial problem or change your circumstances.
The chance of winning any single competition is small. Most people who enter will not win. Please only ever spend what you would be comfortable losing entirely.
A few sensible rules
- Decide your limit before you enter, not while you're entering.
- Never chase a loss. Entering again because the last one didn't come off is the point at which this stops being fun.
- Don't borrow to enter. If you're using a credit card, an overdraft, a loan or a buy-now-pay-later service to buy tickets, please stop and reconsider.
- Don't enter to escape. If you're entering because you're stressed, low or worried about money, this won't help.
- Keep track of what you've spent. Small amounts add up quickly across several competitions.
Signs worth paying attention to
It may be time to step back if you recognise any of these:
- Spending more than you planned, or more than you can comfortably afford
- Hiding how much you've spent from people close to you
- Feeling anxious, irritable or preoccupied while waiting for a draw
- Entering more after a disappointment, to make up for it
- Money meant for bills, food or rent going on entries
- Believing you're "due" a win, or that a particular competition owes you one
None of these makes you unusual. They're common patterns, and recognising one early makes it much easier to deal with.

If you'd like us to stop you entering
If you would like us to block your email address from entering our competitions, contact us and tell us. We will do it, and we won't ask you to justify it.
We will also remove you from all marketing at the same time. If you later want the block lifted, we will ask you to wait a short period before we do so.
Under 18s
You must be 18 or over to enter. We may ask for proof of age at any point, and any entry made by someone under 18 is void.
A note on how we advertise
We try to be straight with people. We show the total number of tickets, how many remain, and the cash alternative alongside the prize. If you ever think something we've published is misleading or pushy, please tell us — we'd rather hear it.
